Elena Toesca (Bologna) Siamo stati a Montalto per Capo d'Anno, ed è venuta la neve!! Molto suggestivo, i bambini hanno giocato tanto, e la sera: tutti a chiacchierare davanti al camino!

Jamie and Jennifer (Long Beach USA) We were married in the Siena Town Hall in Sept 2001 after staying at the castle with family from both sides of the pond. Everyone had a great week and still talks about it fondly requesting we arrange a reunion visit soon! 2005-10-07 19:16:22
Letty (Miami, FL) I was married at Montalto September 15, 2005. What an incredible experience. Not only is the castle beautiful, but so are the people who run it. Thank you Giovanni, Diana, Chiara and Roberta for all you did to make our stay unforgetable. My friends and family had a wonderful time. 2005-09-26 16:03:55
David Brookes (Richmond, California) In the picture at the top of this page I can see the loggia in San Giovanni where I spent evenings watching the swallows swoop and sipping Chianti. My two trips to Montalto for a music workshop allowed plenty of time for sightseeing and Montalto is beautifully located for day trips to central/southern Tuscany and Umbria. The hill town of Todi (a proud participant in the Slow Food movement) was a special find, but only one of many. And memories of the porchetta and pici at the Latte di Luna restaurant in Pienza linger tantalizingly. Mille, mille grazie to Diana and Giovanni for all they did to make my visit comfortable. 2005-09-02 01:36:21
Bob & Judy (Kensington, California) Between 1996 and 2004 we spent 4 memorable chamber music vacations at Montalto. The romantic castle and its surroundings make it an ideal location for exploring the Chianti hills and the famous hill towns of Toscany nearby. The modern accomodations, the warm welcome and hospitality of the host family and staff always makes us feel at home. Thank you, Diana and Giovanni. We hope to return soon. Paulette and Geza Szayer (Coto de Caza, California) We visisted Montalto for a music workshop. I had done many workshops in a school type environment so Montalto was so different because it was comfortable, homey and our hosts, Giovanni and Diana were so gracious and accomedating always smiling. The grounds and surrounding areas were so beautiful. Our accommodations were so comfortable and private and enjoyed the common kitchen/living area for eating in at times. We loved Italy but most of all we loved Montalto. We both hope to visit again someday.

Elizabeth Morrison (Pacifica, California) I visited Montalto this summer for a chamber music workshop--ten friends who spent 2 weeks together playing string quartets and enjoying beautiful Tuscany. I enjoyed everything about Montalto, especially the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful scenery out of every window. It was just perfect. 2005-08-21 04:54:35
Andrew Brown (Oakland, California) We had our wedding at Montalto in 1999. What a spectacular place! We couldn’t have hoped for anything more beautiful or romantic, and even now when we meet friends of friends, they all know us as “the couple who got married in that beautiful castle!” Diana was a great help in organizing things, we could not have done it without her. We came back this year for our anniversary, and still loved it just as much. There have been some renovations (there is a new dining hall now, we had our reception in what had once been the granary!) but the feeling is still the same: tranquility, beauty, romance, the perfect place to relax and enjoy Tuscany. 2005-08-20 23:40:41
Sherrill Pfeiffer (Walnut Creek, California) Last June was my third time to spend 2 weeks playing chamber music at Montalto. This last time I brought my 91 year old mother. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and is still talking about it.
